What is Desk Tank?
A shrimp that walks along the strip just above your Dock. It wanders, it hangs out, and when you hold a pellet it swims over to nibble it.
What do I need to run it?
macOS with a visible Dock. The download is a universal build, so it runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
How do I feed it?
Move your cursor near the Dock and it turns into a pellet. Hold still and the shrimp comes to eat; click to put the pellet down and let it find the pellet on its own. It gets full for a while after a meal.
Did you use AI to draw the shrimp?
Nope! I drew every frame and pixel with my hands.
Is this demo the real app?
Yes. The simulation, the sprites and the sounds above are the app's own code, running in your browser.
Does it collect any data?
No. Everything the app knows about your shrimp stays on your machine, and none of it is sent anywhere.
